If any habits have been ingrained in your psyche, it can be hard changing the thoughts and behaviours associated with these habits. Hypnotherapy and NLP can provide you with new thinking that will help you to spark the changes you want in your life.
There are often underlying causes if you find yourself dependent on drugs or alcohol. If deep down there is an issue that hasn’t been resolved, hypnotherapy will seek to understand this and put you on the path towards changing your thoughts and behaviours that contribute to your addictions.
Depression can often be found to have root cause and hypnotherapy seeks to tackle these triggers so you are less prone to getting depressed. When these issues have been resolved, you will feel more positive, so you can focus on taking positive steps into the future.
If you are struggling with controlling your weight, hypnotherapy can help you to change the way you think and give you the tools so you can achieve your long-term goals. Hypnotherapy and NLP will empower you, putting you back in control of your body.
Hypnotherapy itself is a deeply relaxing procedure that will help you to find peace and tranquillity. As such it is a recognised form of relaxation therapy and can de-stress you, lower your blood pressure and improve energy levels. You’ll soon find yourself rejuvenated, ready for the day ahead.
Phobias are irrational thoughts that cause you to be on edge despite your best efforts. Hypnotherapy seeks to put you in a relaxed state, finding the reason for this phobia and changing your response to your triggers.
A traumatic event can rewire your brain, leaving you hyper vigilant, even if this is to the detriment of your daily living. Hypnotherapy seeks to change your unconscious and change the negative thoughts, thus transforming the factors that are driving your behaviour.
Smoking is an addiction, and breaking any addiction takes a large degree of effort. Hypnotherapy will support you as you seek to make this change, making it far likelier that you will succeed at stopping this harmful habit.
Hypnotherapy and NLP for chronic pain management is a useful tool to learn. When neural transmitters in the brain feel pain they go into the fight or flight mode. In order to alter this we ask the subconscious to see chronic pain as a "sensation", through hypnotherapy and NLP using all of the senses reduces/alters this "sensation" to a more manageable level.
It is important that doctor's advice has been sought by anyone with chronic pain as there is always a reason that the brain feels pain whether it be psychological or physical.
People that would specifically benefit from pain management are those with auto immune/neurological conditions such as: Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis(ME) to name but a few. Please feel free to give me a call to find out more.

Hypnotherapy is a relaxing form of therapy, and only the issues and the method discussed during the NLP will be performed during hypnotherapy. Hypnosis will only take place when a client is ready to be hypnotised and can be stopped at any time. A hypnosis trance is just like being in a day dream and in a trance state, when our mind wanders, it is nothing to fear.
NLP involves actively listening, and the methods used will create new neural pathways letting the old pathways fade away. This is important for habit change such as smoking cessation. These methods also ensure a more rapid change compared to other therapies. Habit change should take up to 3 sessions. In the case of depression, 6 sessions are normally recommended.
With hypnotherapy, you are in control at all times, you are aware of your surroundings and can come out of a trance at any time, without having any after effects. Hypnotherapy should not be confused with stage hypnosis, which is what you may have seen on TV. Here, guests have been carefully pre-chosen and know they will be on stage for entertainment purposes. Stage hypnotism is something entirely different.
